Emma Morgan

EmmaM LCW_300Emma has been a professional writer more than half her life, first seeing her name in print in the NME at the age of 17, when she began reviewing gigs in her hometown of Manchester. She moved to London after completing a BA in English Lit at the University of Sheffield, to write for Select magazine. She then took an MA in Film: Culture & Industry at the University of Westminster, after which she switched to writing about movies for Total Film and ELLE. She recently completed the MA in Creative Writing (Screenwriting & Playwriting) at City, during which she wrote UNIDENTIFIED, a feature-length crime thriller which she’s further developed through the NFTS Diploma in Script Development, as LONE. Inspired by her stint as a music journalist, last year she wrote a Britpop sitcom, POPSCENE!, then began work on THE MED, extracts from which won her a place on the Creative Skillset-supported Talent Campus organised by the London Screenwriters’ Festival.
